Casting buffs/control means you do actually need to focus more on dex to get recovery times down and you just can't pump might/dex/perception/int up to max simultaneously. If you're truly set on no sub-class though, you have to sacrifice something. Dex is overall going to be less importantly because you'll be bursty, not sustained, so you are more concerned with one-shotting than dealing steady damage.

I think you probably need to max might and perception and pump int (might not need max int, the increased AOE is amazing though). You'll get double-casts on an RNG basis which will absolutely destroy targets. You can have another party member with less ideal damage stats (like Aloth) to cover the utility side of wizard.

I'd go with an Evoker wizard, personally. That will require you to definitely micro your tank(s) to tie up everything in engagements. If you want the best nuker possible, you need to dump con and res and just avoid ever being the target.
